happy halloween!

Happy halloween!  It was kind of nice that Halloween was on a Saturday this year.  The kids got all dressed up for school on Friday, so I picked them up and went down to Colony Farms (my favorite photo place!) and got to take pictures of them without the usual rush of getting home and getting ready to go trick or treating.

This year I had planned on George being a lion, but when I saw this bumble bee costume at Value Village, I knew it was meant for him.  The cutest.  My favorite part is the stinger.  So stinkin cute.

I had purchased a Rapunzel dress for Lila last year on clearance after Halloween.  She LOVES it and wears it all the time, so I assumed she'd be ok with wearing it for trick or treating.  But oh no....nothing's ever easy with this one!  "I don't want to be a pincess.  Pincesses is not cweepy.  Bats is cweepy".  Luckily we already had a bat costume, but then when I tried to put it on her, "I can't wear dose bat pants.  Dose bat pants is ugwy".  So a compromise was reached and she wore her bat top over the Rapunzel dress.

Then the big girls decided to dress as the Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).  We found the coolest tattoo sets at the dollar store (score!!!).  They were so easy to apply and looked amazing.  Wow.  I was so impressed.

Happy Halloween from the Newbery's.  Hope you had as much fun as we did!
