me & my (big!!) baby
  • Our fridge has been leaking for maybe, um...three years, maybe five?  Something like that.  Dr. Jenny came to the rescue today.  She should open up her own handy woman service.  Just give her some straws, a screwdriver and water, and she can fix anything :)
  • George, you and Jack played with your hockey guys and superheroes for a long time this morning.  I love to see you playing together.
  • Katie, I thought you a Keegan would be super chatty and excited, but you were pretty mellow.
  • I had an ECG this morning to check my heart.  Dr. Chang wanted to be cautious because grandma and grandpa both have had heart issues.  I'm grateful for his care for myself and our family.
  • We went for a walk on the Riverview grounds this afternoon between the rain storms.  I took some family photos of auntie Jenny and the kids.  You guys all had a great time walking and playing in the dirt and the creeks that have formed because of all the rain we've received lately.
  • Jane, you didn't come with us because you were busy making your chicken pot pie for dinner.  When we returned to the house, it smelled sooooooo good.  Wow.
  • There was a massive hail storm in the late afternoon.  We all ran out to the deck to enjoy it.
  • Auntie Georgia invited us over for a movie night.  She was appalled to learn we had never watched Star Wars before, so she PVR'd all of them, and we went to watch the first one.
  • Jane, we brought your chicken pot pie for dinner as well as some veggies.  The movie night started out great.  We ate and visited, then started to watch the movie.
  • George, you were super interested at first.  Then I think it continued too long and you were restless.  You and Jack got a little crazy.  I was super frazzled by the time we left.  Geez.  The last straw was the lamp being knocked over.   We came home and went straight to bed.  I should have given you a nap today.  That was my fault.  I should have prepared you better for a late night.  I find it hard sometimes to balance being a mother and being me.  I was enjoying being with auntie Jenny so much and visiting with her that I neglected my motherly duties.
  • It was so fun to introduce Auntie Georgia to everyone.  We all love her so much.
  • George, when you were a baby, we left a soother at Auntie Georgia's house, and she keeps it in her little toy basket.  Every time we're there, you find it and suck on it.   It's pretty cute.
  • Auntie Georgia always makes a juice concoction when we're there.  You all love it so much.  I love that she does that for you every time.
  • Daddy joined us for a bit.  He had parent teacher interviews after school, then stopped in for dinner, then left to clean Gains.  I find it hard to believe he's still cleaning Gains after all these years.  He does it so that he can afford to play hockey a couple times a week.  It's expensive to play hockey, especially now that he's playing in a league this year.  Good for him.  He loves it and apparently he's really good at it.  He's proud of his stats.  He's third in the league for scoring and fifth for overall points
  • After the movie night, we put the littles to bed, then continued the assembly of George's lego guys.  Many hands make light work.  They came together pretty quick.  We made little bags for everyone who's attending his party so everyone can give him a few.  I'm so excited to give them to him.
  • Auntie Jenny and I had a great night drinking wine and talking about life.  I enjoy our evenings so much.
