wook at my big tummy!

wook at my big tummy!
  • George, you had an ouchie on your head, so Lila got you a bandaid, and you applied it.  You actually just stuck it to your hair, but you refuse to take it off.  It's hilarious
  • You're still packing your ninjas in that little suitcase everywhere we go
  • We went to Colours (the art supply store) after school.  Jane, you've been patiently saving your money for a few new Copic markers.  You're always so definite with your purchases, unlike me.  I hum and haw and question every single little thing I buy.  I remember one time a few years ago, you wanted to buy something, and I did my whole routine with questioning and second guessing purchases.  You were spending your own money, and you knew exactly what you wanted before we even got to the store.  You left the store empty handed, and when we got back home, you burst into tears and asked me to never do that again.  I had stolen all of your joy about something you had saved for, and were so thrilled to buy.  I felt sick.  I couldn't believe I had taken something that was supposed to be fun and exciting and turned it into a weird, negative experience.  I vowed I would never do that again.  Sometimes I need to remind myself to just zip my lips and let you buy what you want to buy.  I've learned a lot from watching you spend your money so joyfully.  You're actually super responsible with money too.  You have three envelopes and every time you get paid, you divide your money up.  One for saving, one for investing and one for spending.  What a clever little thing you are
  • I think I'm getting strep again.  I feel defeated.  I didn't have it in me to make dinner tonight, so we went to McDonalds which is always a big treat for everyone.  Lila, you were putting your fries in the corner of your mouth and said you were a walrus.  You make me laugh.  George, you were getting some serious love from the big girls.  You're irresistibly cute sometimes
  • Lila, you were super proud of your big tummy after we finished dinner
  • Ian, you look tired.  You've had a lot of ups and downs at work lately, and you look like you need a break.  Hopefully, I can give you a little time off this weekend so you can relax a bit
  • George and Lila, it's the biggest thrill for you to ride in daddy's car.  George, you call it his "wittew bwack van"
  • Katie, I'm sitting at my computer writing this and listening to you talk to Keegan.  You two are the cutest.  You've been facetiming for at least a couple hours now.  You two chat and play minecraft together.  How lovely to have such a close relationship with a cousin who lives in a different city.  Technology it truly wonderful sometimes
