wine bottling

wine bottling
  • George and Lila, I bought a new step stool yesterday.  You've been fighting over it nonstop since then.  I finally said you had to figure out a way to share it or I would take it away.  You decided instead of taking turns, you would both sit on it.  How this is comfortable, or better than a la-z boy chair or couch, I'll never know, but you're both happy and you're not fighting anymore, so whatever
  • Uncle Rick loves making wine, and when he asked me if I wanted to go halfers on a batch, I was all in
  • Katie, you and I picked up Auntie Georgia and headed over to Rick and Maria's in the early afternoon.  Rick taught us how to clean the bottles, fill the bottles, and cork them.  It was really fun, and the work went quite quickly.  By the time we finished bottling, you were a master
  • Daddy, Jane, Lila, George and Uncle Ben joined us around 4:00 to have a bbq and a visit.  As usual, the food was plentiful and delicious and we had a great time.  Being all together feels like family.  We're so lucky to have these awesome people in our lives
  • After dinner Katie and I left for Whistler.  Uncle Dan is doing the Ironman race tomorrow, so we're going to go and cheer him on.  Their family has been there for a few days already, so we'll join them and spend a couple nights
  • The drive up to Whistler was beautiful.  The scenery is so incredible, that it doesn't seem like it could be real.  I kept having to remind myself to keep my eyes on the road because the beauty is so distracting
