  • Daddy left for grade 8 camp this morning.  He actually had a ride to school because they were leaving pretty early, but then called me because he had forgotten his pillow and his wallet.  George, you and I went down to the school.  You were so sad to say good bye to daddy.  "I'm going to miss my dad.  He's my best buddy."
  • Jane, you had a rough day today.  You ended up not going to school.  We talked things through and you decided to go back on the button system.  You said you actually like it...it feels like a game and it keeps you motivated.  I'm mystified, but I'm not complaining.  I like it too, but I think for completely different reasons than you.
  • Lila, you love your home reading.  You pull it out of your bag as soon as we get to the top of the stairs.  You can sound out most words by yourself.  God bless Starfall.com.  It's taught you so much about letters and sounds and putting it all together to form words.
  • We all went to piano together.  Jane, we dropped Katie off, then walked down to Walmart because you're on a quest to find the perfect clay to use in your slime recipe.  Once again we didn't find it, but we had fun on our excursion.  We chose a treat for everyone.
  • I love the autumn light, so I pulled over at Lougheed Mall to take photos up on the roof.  I love you guys.  Like, really really love you.  I love you all together.  I love you separately.  George and Lila, I love how your little bodies fold into Jane and Katie's.  Jane and Katie, I love how you wrap your arms around them and hold them and kiss them with such ease and comfort.
