• Katie, we finally did your 14 year old portraits today…only two months late! I had a vision for these photos, and ordered a skirt for you, but I didn't realize it would take two months to get here.

• We headed out to Whytecliff park in the afternoon. It was the most perfect fall day. The fall colors are out, the sun was warm and the air was crisp.

• Daddy took the babies to the playground while you and I headed up the path to see what we could see. You’re so pretty Katie. It was so fun to be with you in such a pretty place and on such a beautiful day.

• I used the lensbaby lenses that Kim lent me. They’re so fun! I’m thinking about buy one myself.

• George and Lila, you and Daddy found us after an hour or so and we explored the park together. You two went swimming. Of course you did. The water was freezing, but you just can’t help yourselves around water. You wanted to go over to the island, but the tide was coming in, and we didn't want to get stranded over there.

• Lila, we lost your shoes in the tide. You had put them down close to where we were sitting, but as the water rose, daddy moved everything up but didn't see your shoes there. You were very practical about it, “That’s ok…there are lots of shoes in the world for me.”
