queen of the ferns

• Lila, you stayed home again today. We had a nice little day together puttering around the house and doing a few errands. I got rid of more stuff on Craigslist today.

• We needed a new belt for our vacuum, so I went to the vacuum store and had a super off putting experience there. It was puzzling. I’ve never had to work so hard to buy something in my life. I made some mental notes about how I want to treat clients.

• We went to play behind in the empty lot behind the vacuum store. You guys were playing some sort of game where you had to hop around to advance to the next level. It was entertaining to watch. I tried out my new camera accessory while you played. It keeps the camera steady even when I move. Really fun! I’m looking forward to learning how to use it to it’s full potential.

• George and Lila, it was movie night at your school (Incredibles 2). Lila, you were so cute. When Jane came home after school, you asked her if she would be your date. You two went together and George and I went together. I enjoyed watching the two of you snuggling and enjoying the movie. Jane, it’s lovely that you took the time to spend with Lila. She adores you.

• Katie, you got to have a quiet evening by yourself. Well, dad was home, but the two of you went your separate ways and did your own thing. You love having the house to yourself.
