  • Lila, you were pretty thrilled to see Jane after school.  
  • We went to the mall so I could get some makeup.  I was feeling inspired by our trip to the MAC store a couple weeks ago.  It's been a long time since I've bought makeup.  I love the ladies at the MAC store.  Always so helpful and enthusiastic.  They got me hooked up with a "mom kit."  It's everything I need to look fresh and awake, and nothing more.  Lol.  Just the way I like it.  
  • Jane, on the way to the mall you asked me about exposing photos for shadows and light.  I saw the sharp shadows on the roof, so we tested it out.

  • Lila, you've been obsessed with sidewalk chalk lately, even though we're on our millionth day of rain.  It doesn't seem to deter you at all.
  • George, you asked Jane to do your makeup after watching Jane and I do our makeup.  You are really beautiful.  Those eyes of yours are gorgeous.

  • Katie, as we drove home from school, you were feeling panicked about your tech ed project.  I turned the van around and took you back to school.  Your teacher helped you a little and you were all caught up within a few minutes.  Remember...the best antidote to worry or panic is action.  Usually our minds make problems much bigger than they usually are.  
  • It started snowing while we waited for Katie to work on her project.  Lila and George, you were beyond delighted.  George, you managed to get mud all over your face.  Little boys and dirt...

  • George and Lila, Blue Mountain Park is your all time favorite.  Anytime I ask where you want to go, you always request it.  We dropped Katie off at a party nearby, so I decided to stop in and surprise you.  You had the best time.  I was happy to let you get some of your crazies out.  You've been pretty wild lately because we've been stuck inside due to all the rain.
  • Katie, you had two parties today.  You're quite the social butterfly.  First, you went to a bday party, then to a soccer party.  You go out more than I do!

  • I took some self portraits today.  Self portraits are tricky, but I really wanted to document my new do.
  • Katie, you had soccer academy tonight.  You and your friends are adorable.
