learning
  • Katie, your group went downtown today to do a scavenger hunt.  We dropped you off at Burquitlam Skytrain Station and you headed off with your buddies.  After your excursion, you went to Annika's house and then Gerald took you to Rocky Point park for Fish and Chips and ice cream.
  • George, we're starting to do "leawning."  We're starting with writing your name.  I had a heck of a time teaching you to hold your pencil properly until I saw the "pinch and flip" method.  You caught on super fast after I showed you just once.
  • It was such a beautiful day today.  George, you had a glorious time playing with your diggers in the dirt.
  • Lila, we played in the forest after school.  You took your shoes off and got right down to business.  You built bird nests from grass and leaves and blossoms.  They were pretty cute.  A couple of your friends joined us, and afterward, you commented that that was the funnest thing you've ever done at school.
  • George, you found a storm drain cover and dropped everything to look in and see if you could spy any Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  Then you yelled over to me, "Mom, do you think you should probably take some pictures of me?"  Um, sure?  OK.  I'm not one to turn down an offer like that.
