portrait day

• Today I met with my college roommate.  We haven't seen each other for 17 (?) years.  Something like that, which is crazy since we live only an hour apart.  We had the best visit.  We talked and talked and talked.  She's pretty great.  I'm looking forward to staying in touch.  
• George, you were so well behaved while we chatted...and we visited for a long time!  Thank you for affording me the pleasure of a nice long conversation.
• Lila, you love to look out the moon roof whenever we're waiting in the van.  It's pretty cute.
• I'm writing my next Moms With a Camera presentation about portraits, so I set our living room up as a little studio and got each of you sit for me.  I picked up lights from Kim this morning.  It was a treat to see her and have a little snuggle with baby Audrey.
• Jane, you and daddy had a dinner date tonight.  You went out for Greek food and had a lovely time.
