Lila and George, you had student led conferences today. Daddy and I split up so we could each be one on one with each of you. George, I went with you first. You proudly showed me your work in you classroom, but you were most excited about the music room. You’ve been dying to get in there since the first time you saw it. You played a little ditty for me and simply glowed after.
Lila, I got to be with you second, after you had finished with daddy. You were the most excited to show me your math work. I love how much you love math. You say it’s your favorite thing you do at school because you’re so good at it. Go, Lila, go!!! I hope you always feel that way. I’ve always enjoyed math. I just like how everything works out in the end and there’s always a solution.
Jane, you left home yesterday. We had a fight in the morning and you packed a suitcase and left for school and didn’t come home. We’re not exactly sure where you are. You texted Katie to let her know you were “somewhere safe” but not anymore than that. You also responded to daddy’s texts regarding your where abouts after he had looked for you at your usual hangouts, to let him know you were somewhere safe.
