  • George and Lila, every day after school, if it's not raining, we play for as long as you want at the playground.  We always leave our bags at the same spot.  I love how familiar this little vignette is to me.
  • Lila, you refuse to go to the bathroom at school, so by the end of the day you're bursting.  We usually get out to the forest to play, then have to go back to your classroom.  Mrs. Bellet calls it our daily family potty time.  It's so ridiculous.
  • It's November 15 and I wore my Birkenstocks.  I'm so crazy hot all the time, it's unbelievable.  It was quite mild for November, but wow, my thermostat is definitely faulty.
  • A storm blew in while we played.  I could actually feel the air change.   The sky got dark and moody.  Beautiful.
  • Jane and Katie, I asked you individually if you wanted to come shopping with me tonight.  Then I told you at the last minute that you were both coming.  Haha!!  I got you spend the evening with you together.  I love spending time with just my big girls.  It was just us for the longest time, and I miss it.  We had so much fun.  Although, bringing you along wasn't good for the budget.  We had already put about $150 worth of stuff in the cart even before we started working on my list.  You're bad influences.
  • You guys perused the cake section for a long while.  You finally decided you wanted a tuxedo cake, but I told you there was no way I would pay for it.  You didn't care.  You paid for it on your own.  Wow.  I admired your determination to have that cake.  I was also jealous that you had a tuxedo cake and I didn't.
  • We ran into our friends Kim and Ross and Camille.  They're such a great family.  I enjoy being around them.  Jane, you babysit for them once in a while.  They just told us that they're having another little one in May, so I'm super excited about that!  Katie, I imagine you're going to start coming to MWAC in May just so you can hold the baby.
  • Jane, your shoe was untied.  Katie knelt down and tied it for you.  It was such a simple sweet gesture.  I loved watching it.
