rainy day

rainy day
  • Today was the Monday-est Tuesday that ever existed.  Jane, Katie, and Lila, each of you, at some point during the morning, cried and begged me to let you stay home.  George, you were even sad and grouchy.  It's always hard to get back to routine after a break, and our four day weekend was so relaxing and lovely, I can totally understand why no one wanted to go to school.
  • I had a camera club meeting tonight, so I spent the day preparing.  I really like writing my tutorials.  We talked about night photography this time.  I had hoped to go up to Burnaby Mountain and attempt some star photography, but it was so cloudy and rainy there was no point. Instead, we went to the hockey box at RC MacDonald and did sparkler shots. It was so fun.  And so cold and windy...but really fun.  I know I say this every time, but I really love my camera club ladies. They're all so kind and interesting and enthusiastic.  I ended up doing most of the writing so that everyone else could experiment with taking photos.  The photos I'm sharing were taken by my friend Anna  as I wrote and popped the flash etc.  We're hoping to go out to Golden Ears to do some star photos in the near future.
  • I find so much fulfillment in leading the camera club.  I love the community that we've built.  I hope to grow it a little more, and maintain the relationships we've managed to forge.
