happy birthday jane!

• Happy 15th birthday Jane!  
• Daddy made your birthday breakfast.  Hash browns, sausage, eggs and hollandaise sauce.  Apparently I don't make hash browns as good as daddy :)
• You wanted to open your presents in the morning, so we all got up early and lined up to give you the treasures we collected for you.  George got you a unicorn stuffy (from the toy box), Lila got you a red plaid shirt, Katie got you cash and the new Wings of Fire book, daddy got you a big bag of Twix and cash, and I got you a Copic sketch book and a carry case for your markers.
• Your birthday sunrise wasn't too shabby.
• Lila, you were excited to go to school today.  And you wore a dress...no pajamas today!  You went to school until 11:00 today so you could practice recess time.
• Katie, we've been waiting for about three months for preauthorization from Blue Cross for your orthodontic work, but they've been on strike and haven't been updating online information.  I finally had enough of it today because we've already rescheduled your appointments three times and you have an appointment tomorrow.  I dropped everyone off at school then George and Big Mama headed down to the PBC headquarters.  We waited in a long line up of angry people, but I finally got it done.  Yay!  We can keep your appointment tomorrow and get started.  
• Lila, after school you decorated Jane's cake.  You asked for a carrot.  When you get inspired, it's hard to deter you.  I passed you the carrot, then you jabbed it into the cake like you were slaying a dragon.  It was hilarious.
