  • Today was the first day I actually felt like doing something.  I've wanted to have a minimalist wardrobe for a few months, and I finally made it happen today.  I got my clothes down to three small drawers.  It feels great.  And really, I end up wearing the same three things over and over again, so I'm sure it won't make much of a difference to my day to day life.  And wow, I wear a lot of black.
  • Katie, it was your turn to make dinner tonight.  You made sloppy joes.  They were delicious!  Daddy desperately tried to make us watch and laugh at Adam Sandler's Sloppy Joe Lunch Lady Land video.  It didn't go well.  Perhaps it was funnier 25 years ago.
  • Lila, you were a mess today.  So squawky and unreasonable.  You and Georgie were fighting a lot, so daddy and I decided to divide and conquer.  He took you out to run some errands and you ended up falling asleep in the van, so he drove around for a while to let you sleep.
  • George, you and I had a quiet afternoon without Lila.  We hung out and you helped me clean out my closet.  I love being alone with you.  I'm going to miss you next year when you go to kindergarten.
  • Jane, you were super quiet and scarce today.  You hung out and watched your favorite artist do a live stream of a drawing.  It makes me happy to see you interested and learning about art.
  • Lila and George, after dinner I had to decide between taking you to the park and listening to you fight, or staying home and listening to you fight.  I chose to go out.  We went to Rochester Park, and it was AMAZING!  So many cool sections, and we were pretty much the only people there.  You loved the big log structure, the tube slide, the climbing wall, and the water play area with the dams and water pumps.  We're definitely going to go there again.  Actually, you both conceded that you liked this park better than Blue Mountain Park, which is really saying something!
