ice cream
  • Today was our last day in the Shuswap. We had to get everything packed up and be out the door by 11am. It was a scramble to say the least. Not an easy feat with 10 people and mountains of food and tons of kid stuff.

  • The smoke today was so thick and orange and suffocating. I’m glad it wasn’t like this all week. It was so dark we had to have the lights on.

  • We stopped for ice-cream on our way out of town. Unfortunately, I can’t eat ice-cream anymore because it bothers my tummy too much. But I enjoyed watching you guys digging in.

  • George, I can’t remember why you were so sad, but you had a moment and sat with your little face in your arms and cried. Katie saw you and went to sit with you. You’re so lucky to have her for a sister.

  • Jane, we were so excited to come home to you. You got your tablet while we were away, so we all gathered around for a full demonstration. It’s so cool! And I’m incredibly proud of you for working so hard to save up the money to buy it.
