sunrise

• Everyone was sleepy and not interested in going to school.  In fact, everyone stayed home except for you, Katie.  Apparently you're the only responsible one in our entire family.  Daddy didn't even go.  He slept until lunch, then went back to bed for a nap in the afternoon.  I think report cards have beaten him down.
• Lila, you produced some really great fake coughs this morning to show exactly how sick you were and how much you needed to stay home.  We all enjoyed watching you. 
• It's supposed to be sunny for the next few days, so I'm going to be posting a lot of sunrise photos.  I never get tired of them.  I love the fog over the river, the "city stars" twinkling on Mary Hill, and the way the sky changes minute by minute.
• Lila, I was making turkey soup for dinner.  You walked into the kitchen and told me it smelled like a really bad fart.  Then turned around and walked out.  Thanks for the honesty.  Never need to wonder what you're thinking, that's for sure.
