  • The moon was spectacular this morning.  Wow.
  • Auntie Becca and family left this morning after breakfast.  I can't believe how fast they can get ready and out the door.  It takes us forever.  I love how everyone stood at the windows to wave goodbye.  George, you were especially sad to see them go.
  • We got packed up, cleaned the whole downstairs, started the laundry, loaded the van and were on our way by 11:00.  That's pretty good for us.  We went to Smitty's for our traditional meal.   We invited grandma and grandpa to come with us, but they couldn't because they had an appointment for Belle at the vet.
  • Everyone (except Lila) was pretty quiet on the drive home. George, you fell asleep almost immediately and stayed asleep for about three hours.  Lila, you were pretty squawky.  You complained at everyone for anything they did.  I felt sorry for Jane who was in the back seat with you, and the target of much of your anger.
  • We managed to drive all the way home in one stretch without stopping.  It was a first for us.
  • George, the most exciting part of the trip for you is driving across the "Big Bwidge" (the Port Mann) because you know that means we're really close to home.  You cheer every time you see it.
  • It was so good to be home.  We unpacked the van and put every single thing away before we sat down for dinner.  I made rice and vegetables.  Our tummies were grateful for the simple meal.  We've had so many treats the last couple weeks.
  • I usually feel really sad when I come back from visiting, but this time I was just happy to see my bed again.  I've been feeling so poorly that I really missed my bed.  Also, I slept with both George and Lila while we were in 100 Mile.  It was pretty "snuggly" and I didn't have very good sleeps.  However, they loved it, and I actually didn't mind all the hugs and cuddles and sweet little conversations in the early mornings.
