jane's grade 1 journal

• George, Shirley gave you a little bag full of goodies.  There was a Spider Man baseball cap in there, and you love it!  Now you are dying to get your very own baseball mitt.  Daddy is taking you to your first baseball game in a couple weeks.  I hope you love it
• I can feel myself getting bored and restless.  I like to keep busy.  I've enjoyed the last couple weeks at home, but I need to find a project.  I think I might finish up all the odds and ends that need to be done around the house.  Like finally hang the curtains in your bunk beds and get the cushions made for the kitchen.  I also want to paint the front door and do other random maintenance
• George and Lila, you were both super cranky this morning, so we had an early lunch and then you had a nap.  The sleep did you both a world of good.   After you woke, daddy took you to Blue Mountain park to swim
• Katie, you and I went to IKEA to get curtain rods.  Funny thing.  We came home with a bunch of stuff...and no curtain rods.  Good thing we live close by
• George and Lila, you guys were getting along so well this evening.  It was awesome.  You were building lego houses for your ninjas.  I love how you play with so much imagination and drama and enthusiasm
• Katie, you weren't feeling well after dinner, so you snuggled on my bed for a couple hours.  You seemed to perk up after resting, so hopefully that's the end of it
• Jane, we found your grade 1 journal.  Oh my gosh.  So cute.  I kept all your primary writing journals.  They're hilarious.  My favorite entry was "It's ok to have a missing tooth.  It's ok to have a sister"
