• Wow! What a day. James, I was really excited to take you to Leeside Skate Park, as it’s one of the legal places to graffiti in Vancouver. You weren’t completely convinced, and asked to go the mall with there girls, but as soon as we got there, your eyes lit up and you got right down to business. I loved seeing you in your element.

• Jane and Katie, you took Val to Metrotown on the skytrain. It was Val’s first time on public transit…so exciting! You said you had a great time. I love the fact that the three of you get along so well and spend time together making memories.

• After the skate park, we went to visit my friend Adea. George and Lila, you didn’t want to come in to visit, but I promised you it would be worth it. Your eyes got as big as saucers when you saw the half pipe, and Adea found skateboards for everyone. George, you were in heaven. You’re still saving up for your very own skateboard and after today, you’re fully motivated to save every coin you can find in your “bank account” (your piggy bank).

• We hung out at home this evening and played Jenga and visited and laughed. It was good for the soul. I love having family around. I love how well our two families get along. I really wished Auntie Becca and her family lived closer to us.
